Update

I just received my 34 week-Baby Center email update, and although I HAVE been counting down for some time, I was kind of surprised by the week I am, considering Tyson's sudden entrance into the world at 37 1/2 weeks... YIKES and YEAH! If I follow that pattern (which probably isn't even a pattern since it's only happened once, and truthfully isn't likely to happen again, although I am PRAYING that it does), that means I COULD have less than 4 weeks left! Good thing I have nested and prep-ed. I'd post pictures of the nursery, but I haven't made the bed just yet, AND I am hoping to convince Greg that he does need ONE MORE project.

Right now we are in the midst of finishing Ty's room (pictures to come, of course). It should be wains-coated today, and painted hopefully by the end of the week. With all of Greg's trips (he never reads this so I can post such things), I don't know that I can get another room painted and "projected" before our little darling's arrival. I guess as long as she has a a bed to come home to, she'll be fine...for the first 4 months of her life.

While proof-reading this "Update" I remembered that I had a quick video from the construction zone (big surprise, I know). Enjoy while I rest from walking up the stairs to get the camera, I am quite winded!~

SERIOUSLY.... 60 MORE DAYS!?!

I have been talking to this little Girl, and I think we have an agreement that she'll come early, so don't believe that darn widgit thing--- I wish I could change it. Why do we have to be pregnant for 10 months! I want to see her now, and so does Tyson.

The other day Tyson was playing with his toys and he said, "Oww Baby M******* (for the baby's protection we'll leave her name out). Dat hurt! No kick me in MY tummy! (3 seconds pass) I'm sorry, baby. I yuv you too."

HOW FUNNY! I thought I would die! Apparently I have said something similar. Greg thinks it NOT funny that Ty thinks he has a baby in his tummy too. Where did he get that idea? I promise I am not a whiner; I hardly know she is in there, so I don't complain about her. I do, however, talk to her. That is why I know she will be arriving EARLY! (I hope)

BIG BOY BED

The move has finally been made. It took two nights to get there, and I have to say that is many fewer than I was expecting (how does that last sentence work for you?? awkward?).
Here are some pictures from the two nights. In this case especially pictures do not do justice to Ty's cuteness. I am surprised he slept through the flashing and the kisses (flashing of the camera that is).
TAKE I
Ty went to bed at 7:30 and was asleep by 7:45. He stayed asleep until just AFTER (of course) I crawled into bed at 11:00. Apparently he was trying to roll over and he hit his head on the headboard. That woke him up and made him "so mad" (he told me all of this). After a few minutes he was asleep again. Two hours later he woke up crying... I didn't want to spend all night getting up with him (I'm too lazy), so I moved him back to his crib when he slept great, got up when it was morning and came down to see me.

Take II

The next night we did the same routine and Tyson fell asleep fast. He woke up around 1:30 and came down to our room (without making a sound..don't know how I was awakened to see him standing in our doorway). I took him back to his bed and he slept there until 8:00 this morning! Yea!

I realize we aren't necessarily on the home stretch, but we are a lot closer than I thought we'd be by day 2. Tyson turns 2 on the 29th, and I think I just may try the potty training thing soon... He has no trouble peeing in the toilet; he has been doing it for a few months now. It's the pooping thing I am worried about. We'll see if I loose my nerve in a couple days or not.

My Winter Break

On my WINTER BREAK:

  • I shoveled our walkway and driveway for the first time... Not too bad since I did it before the snow melted (advice given to me by my husband who was out of town for three days. More advice from him: DO NOT drive on the driveway with snow on it; that makes shoveling VERY difficult--thus, the real reason I shoveled... not because I wanted the exercise).
  • I shoveled our driveway (forget the walkway--crossed my fingers for no visitors) for the second time in a day. Cursed Greg for being gone during the snow storm. Wished I had snow boots and a nice warm jacket.
  • Ended up shoveling the walk 3 1/2 times that day... why did I have to leave so much! Ended up calling Greg 4 times to tell him how much work I had done :)
  • Turned 27. Seriously... am I that close to 30 ALREADY!!
  • Celebrated Christmas with my little family. Loved the excitement in Tyson's eyes when he opened his 4-wheelers, helicopters and airplanes.

  • Cried because I realized how BIG he is going to seem in a few months when a new little baby enters our home.

  • Heard the pitter-patter of little feet running across the floor into my bedroom early one morning. (Tyson has mastered the crib escape.) Laughed with Greg as Tyson came in our room and announced that he got out! and "came down a see mommy and daddy in da morning!"

  • Took Tyson sledding for the first time.
  • WATCHED family play Rock Band, because I know what my talents are, and singing/playing instruments is not one of them.

  • Wished that my sister lived closer so that our kids could play together more often.

  • Went to the Dr., got a second ultra sound, and found out that the little Miss ALREADY HAS HAIR (I was hoping she'd be like my boy!), and that my placenta has moved into the proper location for a normal v*ginal delivery. YEA! Just reached the 30 week mark! 10 to go, 8 if you are a positive thinker :)

This REALLY will be the last nakee shot--Greg was too quick at turning off the camera after the shot--and of course, could not be persuaded to take another quick shot for the blog... so this is what he gets.. My white largness on the Internet for all to see.

  • Didn't blog once :) I am sad about that decision now...so are you!

Spanish Words of the Day

The teacher told Pepito to use these words in a sentence. Pepito replies:

1. Cheese---Maria likes me, but Cheese fat.

2. Mushroom---When all my family get in the car, there's not mushroom.

3. Shoulder---My fren wanted 2 become a citizen but she didn't know how to read so I shoulder.

4. Texas---My fren always Texas me when I'm not home wondering where I'm at!

5. Herpes---Me and my fren ordered pizza. I got mine piece and she got herpes.

6. July---Ju told me ju were going to tha store and July to me! Julyer!

7. Rectum---I had 2 cars but my wife rectum!

8. Juarez---One day my gramma slapped me and I said, "Juarez your problem?"

9. Chicken---I was going to go to the store with my wife but chicken go herself.

10. Wheelchair---We only have one enchalada left, but don't worry wheelchair.

11. Chicken wing---My wife plays the lottery so chicken wing.

12. Body wash---I want to go to the club but no body wash my kids.

Are you laughing? I stole this from my friend April's blog... I can just hear the Spanish accent--especially with my CORONA, CA roots. And, after seeing Twilight and hearing Edward's SPANISH ACCENT the whole first half of the movie, I have a little espaniol on my mind. I know, I know, he is English, but where did he learn his American accent, from a Spanish speaker??

December

November just snuck right pass me as I re-read my favorite vampire series.... Greg was out of town last week (until Thanksgiving) and I snuggled up on my bed, turned on "Eiego" for my boy, and read my little heart out for 4 days. My, what a relaxing last week of November I had! Now its back to reality... I just checked my email--Yikes, I will deal with that later.

I am thrilled for the holidays... kinda sad I'm done with my shopping, though. I am really hoping that Tyson will let me put wrapped presents under the tree... we'll see (I think I am hoping for a miracle, there). It has been fun anticipating and now getting ready for the holidays in our new home. I bought three coordinating Christmas wraps, with a grand vision of beauty when I put all of our presents under the tree.... I HOPE my vision will come true. No tree yet, for us, hopefully soon though, then there will be before and after pictures of the destruction, I am sure.

Here is some video of Tyson--my ALMOST 2 year old. He has been soooo much fun. My friend, Jessica, mentioned that from 18 months, through just over 2 yrs was her favorite "stage" of development. I doubted that I would feel that way, because I LOVE me a new baby... but I have to say, that I have a tie going on right now. I had to stop watching Jon and Kate, plus 8 for a couple weeks because I was taking so many videos. I felt a little envious that they got to have a camera crew follow them around getting so many of their kids' precious moments on film. I knew I was on the brink of insanity when I started hiding the camera and trying to get those “too cute moments”. So, the following videos are of me trying to get all of the cuteness in to a couple minutes.

Tyson decided one day that he wanted to go to school. I'm not quite sure where he heard about school, but off to school he went... Kind of.

This one is me trying to get some cuteness out--we didn't do too well, but doesn't he look dashing in his Thanksgiving outfit??

Just to catch you up--- In case you forgot (I don't know how you could have with my spazy pregnant writing style), here is an updated shot my me and my girl. So, Greg put the kibosh on the "Nakie" shots at 20 weeks last time (a VERY sad day for many of you), but since you have been ROYALLY jipped this time around, I decided to throw one last bare-belly shot in... Here we are at 22 weeks. (Yes, I am sucking in.)

So there you go, all of November in one LONG post... Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. We did! We have much to be grateful for!

Tutu or Tennis Shoes....

DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
and the winner is

Tutu

We would have been thrilled either way, but it appears that Tyson will be having a baby sister! Yea!

The baby looks very healthy, and very fabulous. No signs of thick, black hair yet, but since I have "marginal placenta previa", I will be getting another shot of her in 6 weeks. I can only hope that she has the hair that Tyson did :)

Here are a few shots of our baby girl:

And just in case you were doubting...
