Top 5
Here are my Top 5 Favorite Tyson Sayings to date:
1. "Shoot, baby!" -- He usually says this when he falls down. Sometimes I hear him say it when he is playing and his trucks/airplanes crash, or when something else in his make believe world goes wrong. I will have to say I am guilty of teaching him this one. Whenever he'd fall as a youngster I would say, "Oh! Shoot Baby, are you okay??" I guess he was listening, and/or he fell a lot.
2. "Oh dang it!" -- This phrase most often is said when he is frustrated and can't accomplish whatever he is trying to. This is our warning that tears are on the way. Both Greg and I say "Dang it" so we'll give a point (or a strike) to both of us.
3. "What you think 'bout that!" -- This was my favorite for a while. Tyson says this when he has the "nerve" or is really hyper/trying to get us to laugh. I said this once to him when we were baking cookies, I decided to roll the dough in sugar and when I finished I said, "What do ya think about that, huh?" and he repeated it. I laughed so hard that I believe I may have encouraged him.
4. "Whoa, baby!" -- This is clearly my fault. Can you hear Greg saying that (the correct answer is no, he is not a cowboy). When Tyson does something tricky or dangerous I say, "Whoa, Baby!"--still do.. It's cute when he says it on his own. I guess the real cute part is the face he makes--like I just escaped my death. Aren't I cool?
5. "NO-WELL, MOM!" -- This is my fav right now. Once when I was vacuuming Tyson kept wanting me to watch him do things and I told him I would watch in a minute. He went to the top of the stairs (I was half way down vacuuming them) and yelled (twice), "No-Well Mom!" as loud as he could. Once I figured out what he was saying, I almost fell down the stairs. That one is all Aunt Faith's fault. Once we got separated in the Gap and she had Tyson. She told him to say, "Noel, where are you?" to find me--I guess he remembered my name. It was so funny to hear him call me Noel...
6. "No help, Mommy" -- I remembered this one when I was trying to find the video clip I knew I had of #3. This one is kind of funny, kind of sad. And he says it for almost everything now. I guess he is rapidly approaching the ripe-old age of 2. I am pretty sure he came up with this one on his own... Dang it!

Happy Halloween
Halloween was surprisingly warm. We did the ward Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, then a family Halloween get-together on Friday. Tyson fought putting on his WIMPY costume both days, although by the end of Friday night he was quite enjoying himself. Tyson was a doctor/surgeon, although you could hardly tell since he didn't want to wear his "earrings" (stethoscope) or mask. It was the least costumish costume I could find. He looked (and I am sure felt) like he was wearing PJs. Who wouldn't want that?? He said he wanted to be a dinosaur, but I just knew there was NOT A CHANCE he'd keep that costume on. Maybe next year he will choose to be something a little more fun. Greg and I were (of course) not fun ourselves. I did get Greg to put on an orange shirt (maybe that's where Tyson gets his love of this holiday). Trick-or-Treating was nice, though. Tyson thoroughly enjoyed that, and once I got him to quit grabbing tootsie pops and go for the chocolate, I enjoyed it too!~

It's THAT TIME Again!
Now, (for those of you who are wondering), I DO feel kind of silly doing this--not taking the pics, just posting them--but this blog was mine first and I like to embrace my pregnancy(s)... So, enjoy and/or mock, but here is a flashback, and a look at things to come.
PS--I would love to check out anyone else's growing "bump"-- what a miracle! (The real miracle is that it goes away, huh??)Tyson (12 weeks) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Tyson (18 weeks)
NEW BABY (12 weeks) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .NEW BABY (16 weeks)
So, I am almost 17 weeks along, and feeling great. The exhaustion has passed (whew!) and now I am on my way to stretching out all of my favorite clothes. Greg and I are thrilled, and we are hoping Tyson will be too. He loves babies, but will he love it when it's HIS baby???... only time will tell. My due date is April 3rd, but, I am of course hoping for the premature water break at 38 weeks.. one can only hope. :)

Is it only the 2nd week in September??
Here is Tuff Stuff on his motorcycle. He got a bloody nose when he fell face first down the "tall tunnel" at the park. PS.. I did not ask him to pose like this, but in case you were wondering, those are his muscles!
Here is a little funny from Tuff Stuff: Yesterday Tyson was trying to get his pants on or something, and I asked if he needed help. He said no, because he is 2 now, you know (not really). A few minutes later I saw that he had completed the task and I said/asked, "Did you do it?" to which he replied, "I doed it." I love the way he composes his thoughts right now. Just this morning before Greg left for work, he said, "Getchu (get you) Daddy!" and started running. That is because, of course, we always say, "we're going to get you!" before the big chase. Just the funny little moments of life :)
So here is a not so funny moment of life. Thanks to Tiffany and Jessica, the only two people I know whose children enjoy removing diapers, my fear has come true! Twice this week I have walked in on Tyson (who is supposed to be sleeping) BARE BUM NAKED holding his treasure either peeing, or just have peed all over his bed. I know I should be grateful that it is pee and not the other, but still... I HATE changing those crib sheets. And of course, the first day was on Monday, after I had just changed his sheets. Good thing I thought it was kind of funny on that day (only because he covered the pee up with his pillow when I walked in.. then showed it to me and said, "Yuckie, pee-pee!")
GROSS! He is kind of obsessed with peeing right now. He loves to go "peep in the pody" (No, I am not trying to potty train, not even close). So, I spanked him on day 2 of the peeing parade and he was just devastated over that, then when I put him to bed yesterday he said "No, no pee-pee. No, no diaper." To which I replied, "That's right. Mommy with give you a spank if you take off your diaper." Anyhoo, I decided to just go grab the tape (Tiffany's solution) and tape that baby shut, just in case, because I don't really enjoy spanking him. So, we'll see how nap time goes today. I haven't resorted to the backwards sleeper yet (Jessica's solution). Hopefully we don't get that far!
And I know I need to post pictures of the house. I PROMISE I will take some on Monday--that is "cleaning day" for me.

Back to REALITY
There is nothing fantastic to report. The rest of my shutters will be installed this week. I guess that I what I am looking forward to most in the near future. I will post pictures, because the ones in my room are very lovely. Our home is great. It is kind of one big SHELL of a house. It is fun though, to SLOWLY fill it-- I guess.
It has been CHILLY! Yikes. Greg and I have been joking with our neighbors, who moved in just before us, and who have landscaped (we have not), that we are praying for early snow this year (to hide our DIRT). We didn't really mean it! It rained and hailed most of the day on Monday, and it has been FREEZING ever since. Of course when I say "freezing" I mean it for me who most recently lived in Florida and before that in Las Vegas, but few will deny that it has been cold. See, this is what happens when I don't have a reason to post--I BLAB about nothing. I hope no one is wasting their time reading this rubbish.
On a more interesting note, Tyson is talking like a 3 year old. That is fun. I hope my next baby only stays in the "newborn stage" for a couple weeks (because I love that just-from-heaven newness), then jumps right on in to 18-24 months. His jabbering may have something to do with the fact that he is the one I speak to all day. We are boosom buddies out here. I guess I should find him a friend. Greg is a titch worried about the amount of time we spend together, although he was VERY impressed when Tyson sang the Itsy-Bitsy Spider to him when I said one night, "Let's sing Daddy a song." We tried to get it on video, and OF COURSE, he could not remember the words. He is a funny little guy.
We have no complaints out here... just miss a few people we have left along the way. It seems to be taking a long time to make friends, but then again, I have been basically hanging out with Jon and Kate and their 8. (I just love that show--Jon needs to stand up for himself though).
Hope Fall is bringing in a little cool weather and relaxation to you all!

2 weddings and a move
On the 3rd day at our new home, my family arrived to get ready for the "double trouble" weddings. We took off for the weekend for a quick 4th of July get-a-way at Bear Lake (our summer hangout)... It was nice to be forced into relaxation, if only for a couple days. Once home we got back to finalizing things for the weddingS.
The weddings were wonderful.... That is all I can say. It was lots of fun to be a part of the duel celebration (that kept on going, and going, and going. Tyson and I just got home a few days ago from the LAST reception in Lafayette, CA. We are done traveling--until next week when we go BACK to CA for Court's homecoming..... YIKES! When will summer be over!).
Here are a few pictures from the past 6 week. Skipping the move, and beginning with the Bear Lake vacation.
Happy 4th of July!
Tyson and Kaden hanging out in Grammies special pool. She fills the pool with warm water for these little boys. Aren't they lucky?? (PS--I don't think she ever did that for us)
Amidst all of the craziness at our house, Daddy decided that it was time for the Pacifier Fairy to visit. So, much to my dismay, she did. It took Tyson a week of sadness to get over the loss of his little buddies.
Tyson wandering in our backyard. Isn't it pretty?
Tyson kickin' it in Grammie's wheel chair... She was so EMBARRASSED to use this!
Lacey with the kids-- Madison and Kaden (Leticia's kids), and of course, Tyson.
A quick little family photo at Lacey's wedding. Tyson, like his father, loves the warmth of my "neck". Any woman who is holding him, soon discovers this. He is such a boy!
As mentioned before, we had a reception in Utah and then two more in CA that followed. Due to my responsibilities as sister to two brides, I did not take pictures at those 3 events. They were fun, though, so I will try to get my hands on a few pictures, just to make sure I hold the World Record for longest post. (I feel like I am playing Settlers of Catan, and I already have the "Longest Road" bonus points, but just to ensure that I keep it, I am going to build a few more roads... That is what I will be doing when I add to this post.)
