Happy Halloween

I cannot believe that it is NOVEMBER!!! That means Christmas is just around the corner. I have to admit, I am kind of anxious to have a white Christmas (although forecasts tell us that we'll be having a white Thanksgiving as well :( I guess that's fine as long as we don't have a white Easter... Too Much!) All of my Christmas shopping is done for Tyson. I am still trying to find the right sales to get his "big boy room" together. He and Greg put his bed together yesterday... that was fun. Now we'll just let him get used to it for a month before we begin TORTURING ourselves.... How on earth will we get him to sleep in his own bed?? Feel free to send ideas :)

Halloween was surprisingly warm. We did the ward Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, then a family Halloween get-together on Friday. Tyson fought putting on his WIMPY costume both days, although by the end of Friday night he was quite enjoying himself. Tyson was a doctor/surgeon, although you could hardly tell since he didn't want to wear his "earrings" (stethoscope) or mask. It was the least costumish costume I could find. He looked (and I am sure felt) like he was wearing PJs. Who wouldn't want that?? He said he wanted to be a dinosaur, but I just knew there was NOT A CHANCE he'd keep that costume on. Maybe next year he will choose to be something a little more fun. Greg and I were (of course) not fun ourselves. I did get Greg to put on an orange shirt (maybe that's where Tyson gets his love of this holiday). Trick-or-Treating was nice, though. Tyson thoroughly enjoyed that, and once I got him to quit grabbing tootsie pops and go for the chocolate, I enjoyed it too!~

He looks sooo cute!! AS for the big boy bed, I was just reading about Supernanny's technique...she puts a chair in the room with them, puts them in bed, then every SINGLE time they get out, she just picks them up and puts them back in without saying anything. One mom had to do it over 100 times the first night, but only 10 the second night, only twice the third. So maybe it will only be torture for the first few days, but if you stick with it 100%, he'll learn that there's just no other option. Good luck and keep us posted. Way to go on the Christmas shopping by the way!

There's nothing "wimpy" about being a doctor/surgeon! I think it's a great idea:)
