We did slip away this past weekend to the Coral Pink sand dunes with our dear friends the Mohlers. Camping was never fun until I married Greg and had a baby boy. Tyson LOVES being outside, so I happily give up my bathroom and bed for a few days of sandy, dirty, unsanitary fun for him. Greg (who is the scoutmaster in our ward, might I add) is great to take care of everything camp oriented once we arrive at our destination.
Mohler Gals, and our Big Lady having a snack
We had so much fun. We miss the Mohlers, so it is always a treat to spend time with them.

Since I am catching up a bit... Over Labor Day we ambitiously decided to hike to Timp Cave. Okay, not really that ambitious of an endeavor for Greg and Tyson, but for me and Macers... It was a CHALLENGE. Here are the pictures to prove it. (I am winded in every single picture!)
Here we are at the halfway mark... a bit tired.
We made it! We are standing just outside the CAVE!! Tyson was so thrilled that we were going to go inside a cave. Mace and I were just happy for the temperature change.

The "deer in the headlights" eyes are a result of it being dark, dark, dark in the cave and then the, you know, flash of the camera startling my little pupils.
Can you see how far UP we hiked?? Pretty impressive view.
Caves are so neat... especially to 2.5 year olds. We had a fun time, and got a little exercise in as well. Too bad Mace-Face couldn't do a little of the walking. That girl is HEAVY. We think she is on the brink of 22 Lbs. We go in tomorrow for an appointment. She'll be just over 5.5 months... so we'll see.

I'm sorry I missed the view on that last picture - I just can't move past those LEGS!!! And not yours (though they are rockin')...I want to get my hands on those things (two hands, probably just one leg!).
We actually measured last night.. nearly the same size as Greg's bicept... which may not be saying too much.. but still large :)
Wow, what a hike, I can't believe your whole family did that! I love that chubby Macy. My almost-11 month-old has big marshmallow thighs and I thought she was heavy...but Macy's got her, she only weighs 20 lbs.

I'm gonna start calling you Mountain Woman! You go, girl. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that last pic with Macey's chubby legs hanging out of the carrier. AWESOME! I also love that you said the flash "startled your little pupils" Too funny!
Awww! These pics are so cute! I miss you guys! And Mace Face is THE CUTEST! I love her chubby little legs and cheeky cheeks!
Your family is SO cute! And so brave to all go camping! We love camping - but not with babies. Wish I could do it! Looks like lots of fun - we can't wait to see everyone again!
