Is Halloween Over??

Okay--Sorry for my lack of interest in y'all (a word I learned out here in FL). My life HAS moved on since Halloween. I can't believe how time keeps on keeping on.... Yikes, I am going to be 40 before I know it. I have just been busy, but only slightly more busy than normal.

For Thanksgiving this year, G's family is coming out. Well, part of them. His mom, dad and only sister will be joining us (G& I and the other Trappys). We are excited to have them-- (really anyone visiting excites us). We will probably head to Orlando Monday night and hit Sea World on Tuesday, then celebrate Thanksgiving on Wednesday, as G, T and I are headed to CA for my brother's wedding on Thursday (Thanksgiving day, yippee). We are thrilled about this, BTW. We just LOVE Jenny. We hope she can keep Zach in line--- all of our sympathies are with her :)

So Tyson has continued to change and grow, of course. He claps his hands now when he (or I) is excited--just love that. He started saying, "muma, mumuma" which I love except for the fact that he says it when he is upset. "Dada" is expressed in excitement, and "Mumuma" is usually spoken with the lower lip expressed and a tear in the eye. I'll take what I can get. Tyson continues to be a joy to our little family. I am soo excited to share him with the Zulies. They haven't seen him in almost 6 months.

Recently, (now you are sorry I decided to update--just one quick addition) we attended the Air Show out here. It was just amazing to see those huge (and sometimes LOUD) airplanes and jets flying over the ocean. Tyson didn't really care-- he was just happy to have a soft seat and a pretzel to enjoy.

Now, as any good mother would, I have been trying to expand Tyson's palate. I want to make sure he is a well-rounded little guy. So, in addition to veggies, I offer Tyson cakes too. I think he is going to be okay in the world.

(PS-Nice that I had already cleaned off his face before taking that picture. G doesn't even know that T took a handful of his cake--I just filled the hole(s) with frosting :)--but doesn't he look like a happier kid??)

Noelle, So I haven't tasted this mystery desert yet. I thought I made it clear that it was your ongoing duty to share with me all of the great recipes.

It was good to meet your sister-in-law. She is way cool. Hope you have a great trip if I don't see you at all this week with the fam in town.

...like the new template!
